Import

Paste a link. Get just the recipe.

Coena keeps the ingredients, steps, times and photo, and leaves the ads, pop-ups and endless scrolling behind — always crediting and linking the site it came from. Cookbook photos, scribbled cards and other apps work too.

The import page: paste a link, text, a photo or a Paprika export

Cook without ads

Skip the scroll. Cook the recipe.

You shouldn't have to scroll through a book-length article and a wall of ads to make dinner. The cook who wrote it still gets the credit and a link back — you just don't have to read it at the stove.

The same kind of recipe in Coena: title, photo, times and ingredients, with the original site credited

After: just the recipe, source credited

Before: a typical recipe page with ad blocks, a newsletter pop-up, a video ad and a cookie banner around long paragraphs. After: the same recipe in Coena, with only the title, photo, times, ingredients and steps, and a link to the original site.

Sources

From wherever your recipes live now.

Recipe websites Paste a link. Coena reads the recipe data almost every recipe site publishes, and uses AI for pages that don't.
Photos A cookbook page, a recipe card in grandma's handwriting, a screenshot — Claude reads it and fills in the recipe.
Pasted text From an email, a note or a message: paste it and Coena finds the title, ingredients, steps and times.
Paprika Your whole .paprikarecipes export, with photos, ratings, notes and categories.
Other apps Exports from Mela, Crouton, Recipe Keeper, MasterCook, Plan to Eat, Mealie, Tandoor, Copy Me That, Cooklang and schema.org files.
Videos and posts YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Pinterest links: Coena reads the recipe in the description or caption, or follows the link to the written recipe — and says so honestly when there isn't one.

Clean on arrival

Imports you won't have to fix.

  • Ingredients split into amount, unit and ingredient, so they scale, convert and shop
  • Sections like “For the sauce” kept as headings
  • Prep, cook and total times, servings and yield filled in
  • Duplicates spotted before you import them twice
  • Review everything before it's saved
  • No photo? Coena makes an appetizing one

Some sites block importers or sit behind a paywall. For those, paste the recipe text and Coena structures it for you.
