The pantry

What can I make with what we've got?

Keep a light inventory of the fridge, freezer, cupboard and spice drawer. Coena uses it everywhere: to rank recipes, skip things on the list and use food before it goes off.

What can I make?

Your recipes, ranked by your kitchen.

Coena compares every recipe's ingredients with your pantry and puts the ones you can make right now first, then the ones missing one or two things — and names what's missing. Salt, pepper and water are assumed.

  • “Chicken” matches chicken thighs; “olive oil” matches extra-virgin
  • Optional ingredients don't count against a recipe
  • Or ask the planner: “what can I make tonight?”

Keeping track

As detailed as you like — and no more.

By location Fridge, freezer, pantry and spices, so you know where to look.
Expiry dates “Use it up” shows what's about to turn, with recipes that use it.
Staples and low stock Mark the things you always keep; low ones go on the list in one tap.

Less waste

The spinach gets eaten.

When something is about to expire, Coena tells you — with a recipe that uses it — and the planner can build the next few dinners around it.
